So, as you may have gathered, I just finished a course on journal therapy, and I would like to share some insights with you.
Daily journaling
Daily journaling, as described in, for example, The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron, is a great way to maintain your mental health. It will make you able to think more creatively and clearly. Need an optimism boost? Add some daily gratitude in there.
Trauma
Journaling can also be a great way to process trauma. By using prompts related to your inner child, for example. Be more gentle with yourself by asking yourself what your inner child needs.
Stuck
Journaling can also help you un-stuck your life. By journaling about the problems you are facing, you might be able to creatively find solutions, just by writing down your feelings and the facts.
These are the most important instances you can employ journal therapy to support your mental health. Be sure to give it a try!
